27KB Stuck in Texas

On our way to Sunnyvale we got a "Service Engine Soon" amber light. I picked up a cheap Innova OBD2 reader to check it out. Found 3 codes P1405, P2196 and P2198. This morning we called a Ford Truck dealer (Town East) in Mesquite. They worked us in and found the fuel evap canister had a stuck valve. Ford only part so we are stuck here until one arrives from TN. Looks like we will get to see the new Jurassic World movie earlier then planned...

Sorry to hear of the snafu. So you're to blame for Jurassic world breaking the box office record...

Hope you're rolling soon.

If it's near Mesquite, Texas, he's in Sunnyvale, Texas... all near the Town East Ford dealership.

That wasn't too bad I guess. Back in the 70's we took a long trip out to CA and back to Ohio. 10,000 miles (almost) in car of course. Only breakdown....Deming TX. Rear axle bearing gave out.

It's the State that's the problem.

Gary and we were young, very young. Guy in a pickup stopped to pick up us and take us into town. It was night and we were walking along the interstate. He said dangerous.... Rattlers come up onto the pavement at dusk to stay warm.

It was Sunnyvale, Texas. There is a great, well hidden rv park called Plantation Place there. We stay there all the time as we have "Cuz" in the area. We were in heavy rain all morning as we headed NW. In Amarillo overnight. The engine ran great and no pesky lights. We will fill up in the morning and then We will know if the mpg's improved. We were 7.5 - 8 towing
at 61 mph. The winds from TS Bill were fierce but we were able to hold it steady the entire time. Thanks for the good thoughts guys.

edit: Never did see the movie. Went to Costco and bought a Dyson V6 for the camper. Our old Bissel gave out.

BTW, didn't the title say "...Stuck in Texas"?

Soo.. Instead of spending money on a movie y'all spent money on a vacuum. Sounds right to me.

The survey sez: 7.5 mpg on I-40 Westbound from Amarillo to Bernalillo (Coronado Campground on the Rio Grande.) Not bad towing in the hills and into a steady 20 mph wind.
