405FK dumping Air

What is the proper way to level the coach? When starting the leveling process on auto level the air is dumped. Is the engin to be shut off before this process begins or left running until the coach is leve. Reason I ask is after sitting a while with jacks down the coach makes noise as you walk around inside creaking and you can feel it when someone is walking around. It shakes a little bit. Just want to make sure I am doing this right.

Turn the engine off, press auto level.

My Berk also creaks at times after leveling, especially when the DW does her aerobics.

You may also experience movement when it's very windy.

On the 405fk the engine must be running for the leveling system to work.
I set the parking brake, dump he air, then hit auto level.
I occasionally forget to dump the air and am surprised how high the leveler will lift the coach.

fedex,

Is your leveling system hydraulic or air?

If it's hydraulic, after leveling, why would you need to run the engine?

The air system gets pressurized when you run the engine.

On the 2016 sports coach, the engine must be running and the emergency break in park, transmission in neutral. Our system automatically dumps the air before the levelers go down. When we're ready to retract, we turn the engine on, turn on the leveler system and wait for the air to fill before we press retract to lift the levelers. The tricky part is when we start the engine we need to turn "on" the leveler system within a few seconds of turning on the engine or else it will not go on when we are ready to retract. (No clue why and we haven't had an answer to this mystery). We wait for the air to fill then press retract to lift the levelers. With our last RV (super C), the engine had to be off before we could use the levelers.
