AC running at only 1 speed, compressor not coming on

HI all,
We are on a road trip and this happened once before on the trip. The AC has only 1 fan speed, low, and there is very little air coming out. The compressor is not coming on. This happened once before on this trip when we tripped the GFI switch in the bathroom with the hair dryer. After we figured that out and reset the GFI the AC was normal again. But this time the AC did the power down thing in the middle of the night - no GFI trip. Any ideas?

Was it froze up?
I've never seen only one fan speed.

It would be best if you give year make and model of camper when asking information as we have no idea what you have.
Make and model of a/c would be great to since there's many a/c units .

Any answers will be guessing .

Sounds like the thermostat or control board is going bad.

Since it's a 2015 model I assume that you have the digital thermostat?

Do you have two air conditioners?

If the GFCI did trip and the AC was on that circuit, you would have no fan and no air coming out. Also usually the AC is on a separate GFCI. What is the thermostat fan speed set at?

A/C

Happened to me 2 months ago in South Fl. 93 degrees and all that was running was the fan. Went to a hotel that night and drove home to Central Fl next morning and dropped RV off at the dealers next morning for a new A/C

Check GFCI again

If resetting the GFCI worked the first time, I would reset it again. Also, a lot of motors shut off automatically when they overheat. It may cool down and start to work again.
