Back up camera upgrade?

I am new to the forum and just picked up my very first RV. It's a 2015 Coachmen Pursuit 33BH. So far I am loving it but some needs need to be improved. I was wondering if anyone ever upgrade their backup camera? Mine works perfectly fine during the day, but as it gets darker out it becomes pretty much useless. The picture on the camera is pretty hazy and I can barely make out any objects.

My camera has a similar issue. The best I can figure the reason for the washed out night view is that the IR lights around the camera lens are not isolated or blocked from the lens. Another reason may be the light is reflecting back into the lens due to a clear protective backup camera cover.
I hope to figure away to encircle the lens from the IR, but this may impact the wide angle view.

I think I have found the maker of the camera system for our RV's. I have contact them and am waiting back to hear from them.

Here is a link for those that have the same problem. Looks like they have a couple different cameras that I might be able to upgrade to.

My camera appears to be like their "commercial" one.
Is that the same as your current camera?

Yes mine looks like the commercial one. RVS-770 That company responded to me pretty quickly and said they believe my IR lights on it are not working properly. I'm going to be taking a picture for them to confirm exactly which one I have so they can suggest a better camera.

Let us know what the replacement looks like and if it improves the night vision.

The Rear View Safety commercial cameras have excellent night vision

i've used the RVS-770 and the RVS-775 as a side camera.

You might want to ask your question in the 5th wheel forum. Others there likely have done what you want to do.
