Fortunately this is Coachmen and General RV's problem to figure out now. :-)

Quick update: Coachmen has agreed to stand behind the unit and correct the issue under warranty even though technically the warranty expired 2 months ago. The unit is at General RV now for this repair, replacement of my awning, and a replacement windshield.

Final update: General RV has validated that the black tank vent pipe was glued to the top of the blank tank without a hole being cut into the tank. They cut the pipe, drilled holes into the tank for venting, and then put a coupling in place to connect the two pipe halves together again. No more stinky toilet!!

Should be GTG now, when I first purchased my RV there was a nasty smell. I had to sanitize the tank by doing multiple flushes. I stay on top of it now. Glad Coachmen stepped up for you.
