In fact, I split some noodles and put them on the corners of my slide and on the bottom edge of the slide.... I get into one storage compartment under the slide and the noodles have saved my noggin more than once!

That seems to be a common solution around here. Noodles everywhere... even to protect windshield wipers from hot windshields.

Keep in mind that if you can see light because the seals are not sealing well, both water and insects can use the opening to get into the MH.

Ya.... That's pretty obvious.
I plan to take it in and have them addressed when I get home from my 2 month stay in the sun. The foam pipe insulation is just an attempt to plug them for now.

Yeah, I agree with Aaron - locktite does wonders. But ya know, I've never had any of my handles come off of any of my rv's; the Roo, the Flagstaff or the Sunseeker. That's just weird yours would have problems.
Wound up going with these ($6/ea on Amazon) they work great.

SWEET! I'm going to take some measurements tonight..... These look like they would fit my home range hood.

I've had a little annoying issue with my hot water tank drain plug. It has a very, very SLOW leak. Most likely my fault by not tightening it up completely when I winterized. That damn plug is hard to get a wrench on. Anyway, I'm headed out to get a new plug and plan to replace it later. Just wanted some reassurance that the steps I'm planning to take are correct.
I was going to:
- Disconnect the city water.
- Make sure the water pump is off.
- Turn on the kitchen faucet to HOT, to release the pressure.
- Open the pressure relief valve.
- Pull the plug.
Is there any need to also shut the hot water tank bypass valve? Click image for larger version

Shouldn't need to use the winterize valve. One thing I would suggest would be to turn it off now, then run the hot water out of it using the kitchen sink so you don't get burned pulling the plug out. I use a socket wrench with an extension to get it in and out. I have seen a couple where someone threaded an extension on to it.

Thanks Aaron. Unless yours is plumbed differently, I don't see any way to get a socket on it. Maybe with a universal joint.
Once the tank is drained and the plug is replaced, will the hot water tank simply fill up (by default) once I turn on the water pump or reconnect to city water?

Dunno, I use a 6" extension and the socket with green tape on it.[emoji4]

Yes it will fill back up in its own when the water pressure comes back.

Once it is full, turn the water back off and open the pressure relief valve to let it 'burp' that creates an air pocket to allow the hot water somewhere to expand to as it heats.

I was having to use (stumble more like it) a crescent wrench last time I pulled and replaced it. I bought a 7/8" combination wrench today and it worked fine. My original plug took a 15/16" wrench. Biggest I had was a 7/8". These Camco plugs I bought today were 7/8". I also wrapped it with Teflon tape. No more leak. I'll burp it when I get back. Thanks Aaron.

As we're nearing the end of our 2 month adventure in our Concord, I have to throw a shout out about my wife. She is a master organizer. We've been staying in nice RV Resorts with great tiled showers, so we haven't used our showerClick image for larger version

ID:	136753 much. My wife uses it about 50% of the time. So, for the most part... the shower is just wasted space. We all know that storage space in the Concords is at a premium. This is how she uses the space. Stackers. It only takes a minute to put these on the bed to be able to use the shower.

We have never used the shower in any of our two trailers or out Sunseeker. It has always been storage in those units... And still is. The campgrounds we go to have very well maintained shower houses.
Yep, you have to use what's available to you.

We keep the cooler in the shower when traveling, and sometimes when parked. We have a small 3 drawer plastic chest that goes behind the driver's seat when traveling and under the mirror on the wall by the dinette when parked. I also have a dog perch for when we are driving that goes between the seats for my furry buddy to ride on, when we are parked it goes right between the driver's seat and the couch on end for storage.

Got to be creative with these things!

Aaron

Couple of questions this morning about the Black tank sensor (light).
I've always done the "geo method" after dumping and thoroughly flushing... Religiously.
Even though I flush, rinse, flush, fill with about 5-10 gallons of water... soak, then flush and rinse again, my sensor usually takes forever to go down to E.
I've seen some stuff for "sensor unsticking", that you dump in the black tank, is it necessary? Does it work?
Is it normal for the sensor to take forever to get to E?
