Can't fill fresh water tank

I have a 2015 Coachmen Concord 300TS and can't fill the fresh water tank. City water works fine. Thoughts?

Not much to go on here. Why can't you fill it? You can't find the fill opening? It is clogged? What?

There is a single inlet for both city and tank with a valve that allows you to switch between the two. When it's in Tank Fill position no water flows in. There is a little pump button but that seems to turn on briefly then off.

Good info so now someone with this set up can maybe shed some light on your issue.

I would say the switch valve is faulty. Is there away you can take the tank hose of the valve and try it?

Mine has a tank valve that switches from city water to tank fill on a single hose hook up

I don't think so. Looks like I'd have to take off the whole water control panel to access the tank hose. Water flows through on the tank valve position when the low point drain is open, however.

The low point drains is for draining your water lines for the winter. A least that what mine are for. If you are switch to tank fill, water should be flowing in the tank, unless you have a kick hose behind the panel or somewhere....or it's plugged up with something. In order to get water to r fixtures from the tank u have to turn on the water pump.

Can u hook up an air valve and try blowing the line out. Do not put more than 40 psi in the line. Be sure r vent to the tank is not plugged up, otherwise the pressure may rupture the tank.

It's a new unit so I have never used it before. The dealer said they went through the de-winterizing process and made sure everything worked. Either they didn't or I just don't know what I'm doing. Either is very possible.

If you're getting water with the drain open, I'd investigate the vent line. If it's plugged, you may be putting water into the tank until the air in the tank compresses to city water pressure, then nothing else will go in.

Thanks. I'm not sure where the vent line is. I opened the compartment under the kitchen sink and found the tank line was kinked but straightening it didn't help. If it's not the vent line then perhaps it's a faulty valve, which someone had mentioned before. The fresh water tank shows 1/3 full from the day I got it till today.

We have a 2016 300 DS and I bet it's your valve for city water / tank fill. I think I would start there

Do you mean tank drain valve vs low point drain ( blue or red pex). If you are saying water flows when the tank drain valve is open, then the tank vent is plugged or kinked and air can't get out of the tank. Try opening a cold water faucet and then see if water flows when in the tank fill position, If so it is definitely the vent. Be careful if this is the case as connection to a high pressure source, you could expand and damage the tank.

Low point drain. I have not yet located the tank drain.
