Coachmen Concord gap below TV shelf

I have a Coachman Concord 2013, with front entertainment center. There is a 1/4 to 1/2 inch gap in center of shelf above Chev. Cab and below shelf of TV. This area opens up to front cap over cab area. This area along with TV vibrates and is very noisey on some roads. Is this normal or should this area be secured and is there something missing? Thanks in advance.

I would think at the very least there should be a foam seal in there. I have not seen a 2013 Chevy model up close and personal so I don't know if it is normal or not. I would think not. There is not a gap on my 2016 Ford based one.

I have the same year and chassis and I do not have that gap or those 5 strips of wood that look like they were added for some reason. Are you the original owner?

I am original owner, there was a gap, I put the shims to stablize and it has worked wonders, if you look very carefully there will be a gap, i hesitated to fill in completely as I wanted it to breathe. Please check and see if you find a gap. Thanks for responding.

I don't think there should be a gap. Never seen it before. The weight should rest on the lower section. When you added the shims in effect you transfer the weight to where it should go. That's why it helped
