Coachmen Leperchaun inside rear view mirror

It seems all these class c units built on E350 or E450 platforms have a rear view mirror glued on the windshield but I find it useless. I cannot really see anything in it...It just seems like a complete waste. Has anyone removed it or mounted their GPS on it? Got any ideas? Thanks..

If it is useless to you go ahead and remove it. On my Concord I can actually see out my rear window. It also comes in handy for keeping track of my passengers aka bride and hound.

X2. That's what I use it for, too.

If you have a rear window which you can see in the mirror you may want to purchase one of the soft plastic lenses that stick inside your rear window with water, about $14. They broaden the view and make it so you see the road and not the tree tops.

All windshields come to the assembly plants with the rear view mirror mount already installed from the w/s manufacturer. This is to standardize the parts. At one time you could get a clear or a tinted w/s. Now they are all tinted. At least that is how Ford does it. Spent 34 1/2 years with them.
