Concord Owner's Roundup!

Time to get a head count of Coachmen Concord owners here on the forum!

Also let's start planning a rally. By my count there are at least 6 owners on the forums that I am aware of, and I am sure there are possibly more.

I figure a rally sometime next year in a temperate climate, max highs around 74° and no lows below 40°

I am on the East Coast, couple of people out of Texas, one from the Left Coast and one from the upper Midwest. We can't take a two week vacation this year, but next year I can plan for it.

Open to suggestions!

Aaron

Greetings from Vancouver, WA. We just picked up our 300DS on July 14.

Don't mean to Hijack this thread... but did anyone get owners manuals for their Concords? Either for the Ford or the Coach? Are we expected to find and download these? Just curious, every car/truck I've ever bought came with an owners manual in the glove box.

Mine came with a whole pile of them including the standard Ford Owner's Manual for an E-450 Chassis. FR does have an app that will allow you to access a lot of the manuals online. What I do is make a list of all my various appliances and sub-systems, make, model and serial number. Then search the internet for manuals in PDF format. I keep them on my tablet and a flash drive so I can access them when needed. Some manuals are better than others. The one for the RV from FR/Coachmen is pretty generic and doesn't tell you too much. The ones from the individual manufacturers are better in most cases. Though I am finding out that the ones from Furrion leave quite a bit to be desired.

That's what I see in your signature line, so I would ass-u-me that it is working!

Do you post from both a computer and the mobile platform? That might make a difference, not super familiar with the software that this forum uses.

Hey Aaron, this really isn't the place for me to be asking technical questions about how the forum programming works. I'm cluttering up your thread about 300DS owners... So, I'm going to delete all but my first reply to your question. 👍

Nice!

We are apparently planning a Concord Rally for sometime in the spring of 2017.

My wife has a couple of weeks vacation and I should be able to wrangle up some too.

I would like to find somewhere relatively central. Oklahoma? that has temperate weather.

Have Concord will travel!

Count us in.

WE would be interested.... We are located in Indianapolis. If we can kind of have a time and place by November I have to put my vacation in then for next year.

Hi Art,

Fantastic! I know my bride's vacation block is the last 3 weeks of April 2017. Typically a rally will run from Thursday (Arrival day) through Sunday (Departure Day). I would shoot for April 13-16, 2017 (Easter Weekend) or April 20-23, 2017. Probably the later date will be more palatable for most of us.

I am thinking somewhere west of the Mississippi and north of the Rio Grande. Completely open to suggestions. A nice campground, full hookups with something interesting nearby. I found a winery in AK that has camping facilities, tours, tastings etc. I am more of beer guy... 'cept for Margaritas and Scotch then all bets are off!

This is just an example; there are a huge number of RV parks in OK and it is fairly accessible to all of us, or we can move a bit further west, or east or north or south.

Key thing is NO SNOW!!!

Aaron

Dent?

Anyone know what this is? It's smaller than a dime, but pretty good dent, that looks like something was re-glued, but fell off. It's right behind the passenger's door.
Thanks,
Steve

It's not a dent. Not exactly sure what it is ? A structural pin Mabey? But there is a plastic black cap that goes on it. If cap came off I'd call coachmen for another one

Concord Owners.....Need your input

DH and I looking at purchasing a 2007 300TS It is located in Georgia and we live in Ohio. We are going to look at it after we leave Goshen....how is the shower in the Concord? Hubby is 6'2", a tall drink of water, wondering if he will fit? Also, will any of you Concord owners be at the Goshen Rally, would really like to chat with you.....we will be getting rid of our 2003 Sunseeker 2890 DS....We find we want just a little more room and the third slide will help.

Please, any helpful comments pro or con, please jump in and speak up...The Forest River Forum has been so helpful with our Sunseeker and we really learned a lot at Goshen last year.

Look forward to hearing and hopefully seeing you in Goshen.

Main reasons why we went for the 300DS over the 300TS is the DS seemed to have more counter space and ALL the slides are on the driver's side, to allow a more unobstructed outside living area on the passenger's side, where the door is.

I'm 6' and the shower is OK for me. There is an arched sky light in there that helps. 6'-2" could be a challenge, but I would think that most class Cs would have the same height restrictions.

We have the DS, didn't like the short counter and extra slide on the TS.

I am 6'-2" and 225# and can use the shower... learned NOT to drop the soap. I can stand up just fine and turn around but that is about it. I am pretty sure that the TS and the DS have the same bathroom setup. The bath is the only downside to the DS as far as we are concerned, but we were willing to compromise on that in exchange for the extra kitchen counter space, large dinette and decent sofa. We just came back from a week long trip, used the campground bath house most of the time, it was spotless and not too far a walk. We do use the shower when camped at one of our local state parks, the shower house leaves a bit to be desired.

Well. I am 5'9" and if I were much more the shower would be a no go. It is sorta small.
