Dometic digital thermostat addition to non ducted AC unit

I have a 2013 Coachman Concord 225LE with non ducted dometic AC unit, I would like to put dometic thermostat to control AC and heat where present heat thermostat is located on wall above bed. Almost impossible to control AC with knobs on AC unit. Any help would be greatly appreciated, trying to give this as a birthday present to wife. I have purchased dometic digital thermostat and control board now trying to figure out how to run thermostat wire. Thank you all so much. Larry

You will have to pull out the checkbook again and buy the pass thru control section for a ducted unit . This contains the power transformer etc. for the thermostat and the correct wiring to continue on to your new thermostat. Dometric advertises that all of their units are wired the same from that point up so the motor wiring should just plug in from the new mid section. When you get it you will probably have to duct tape some holes that would normally feed the ducts so that the air is coming/going correctly. Try PPH in Texas or some other large supply house where you can talk to a knowledgeable person.

I'm not sure you'll need the ducted ceiling assembly, but you may need to remove some parts in the non-ducted assembly that you have and replace them with the new control box.

You could use some CordMate to run the wiring in. It can even be painted or stained to match the colors you have now so it blends in with the surroundings.
