Door Window Coachmen Pursuit

We have a Class A Coachmen Pursuit and I am distracted with the window in the door. You can't see through it and do see shadows at night. I would much prefer a window I could see out of with a curtain. If someone knocked on the door I would want to see who it was before opening the door, as it is today I can't do this. I realize I am a newbie to this RV world, but even my home doors have peepholes or windows that are windows!
If anyone has had this changed would appreciate info.

Most people ask who's there, or can see the door area through another window nearby. The frosting gives light but privacy, and curtains or shades would be a hassle with a door you open and close all the time. Trust me....some have tried.

Go to a glass shop and have it cut and then have them send it out to get tempered, they now have a film they can put over the window that is legal instead of being tempered glass.
