It did have a strip of butyl tape.
For some reason I was thinking I used dicor around the perimeter.

No need to apologize.
I plan on installing a Maxxair (weather permitting) this spring before our first trip, just trying to get a ton of info before hand, thanks for the input.

I have to get my max air installed back on since I changed the vent.
