Furniture coverings peeling

We can have a 2013 cross country sports coach. All of the covering on the driver and passenger seat sofas and dinette are peeling and flaking. Have contacted forest river to no avail. Is anyone else having this issue.

Is this the bonded leather interior? If so it is not only an RV problem but a bonded leather problem. I have been seeing it on house hold furniture as well.

Good luck on getting it taken care of.

Have the same problem with my 2012 Forrester. Have seen on here somewhere that people who have Class A's are getting some resolution in the matter. Brian Knight at Forest River takes care of them. Brain Meeks handles Class C's and he won't respond to emails.

I did get some response. They are willing to send New material (don't know what the quality will be) and pay a pittance toward labor, approx $700. Got estimate for labor $3600. Don't know how f I would be better off trying to replace altogether

We had the same problem and fortunately it occurred during our warranty period, so we experienced a lot less hassle in getting both seats, sofa, and dinette replaced. It was a manufacturing mistake of using inferior material. FR should stand behind their product. Good luck because I know this has been a big issue for them.

They are going to replace covering with "better quality material ". Am trying to get in touch with dealership in Texas that is installing for the allowance they are offering. No call back yet.

Furniture coverings peeling

Same thing happened on my Mirada, fortunately only the recliner peeled. Several friends with Tiffins were really hit hard with peeling vinyl. All of the furniture upholstered with that vinyl peeled. A huge mess. Not just the mess, but the inconvenience and time and effort to get the work done.

Just wanted to let everyone know, my furniture has been recovered by Coachman at no charge to me. Had to travel from Louisiana to Texas so it did cost me my gas but Imwas going on a cruise out of Galveston anyway and the dealership was 20 minutes from the pier.

Many rv compines are having the same problem, some companies replace or recover without a question, however FR it all depends with what line of rv you have and who picks up the phone that day if they will help. We have, at our cost had to recover every bit of furniture becuase the Berkshire division would not step up.

My Columbus got the same bug. I contacted Williamsburg Furniture directly. Their customer rep response was outrageous, he wanted to sell me new covers. There was no intention to solve the problem except by selling me new covers. These have 34 month of part time use. Why would I buying the same bad stuff?????

Unhappy Coachmen RV offers to "help" with vinyl situation

After a long email chain, Forest River stated "because I am not the original owner, they were not able to cover this under the original warranty". However they would like to help. "Coachmen RV would like to provide the materials at a discounted rate."
That discounted rate totaled $840 for the dinette, sofa, drivers chair and passenger chair.
Coachmen can not confirm that would be all the material needed because they do not have a parts catalog showing the components of the seating.
Delivery would take 6 weeks and I would have to pay the shipping.
This is not acceptable to me for an issue that has gone on for several years. They knew the material was garbage but won't stand up like a premier company and acknowledge the failure.
I am not aware of any legal action against this company but I am considering it myself.

I think all of us who have been affected by this issue must join hands somehow.

Just wondering if they've changed materials in 2015 and newer? We've had our RV for a year now and I haven't had that issue yet. Just curious.
