I have a 2011 Encounter, what model do you have? We may have had some of the same experiences.

Hi Gary

We have a 385DCF which is the 37FW floor plan on a freightliner chassis. The most recent problem was that the shower stall fell of the wall. There were only six screws holding it to the wall. The screws were in nothing solid and no glue. So I installed it properly. Since mine is on the Freightliner Chassis the dog house over the engine is just a flat piece of plywood. The clearance between turbo and the plywood is very close and the insulation they used didn't hold up so we almost had a fire on one of our trips to Florida. I got the proper insulation and fixed it. The first thing we found was that when they redesigned the kitchen counter top they didn't realize that the sleeper coach didn't fit anymore. So they replace it. The floor plan has a recliner with a seat belt but it wasn't bolted to the floor. I had to replace all of the door cabinet hinges and epoxy them in place so they would stay. The worst thing was that on a trip back from Florida we blew a left rear tire. When a got to a place to have the tire replaced the guy told me the tires were dated 2008. So my research found that the coach was built on a three year old chassis. The dealer and coachmen did replace the tire after some argument.

What kind of problems have you had?

I have a 2015 coachmen freelander 21rs. I have video only capability on my back up camera system. While my dealer did not mention anything about audio capability on the back up camera, I had read that most systems can support both video and audio. During installation of additional stereo speakers, I went through the wiring coming into the axxera ( model AV614BH ) stereo and found that my camera provides leads for video AND audio, but the stereo did not have a receptacle for audio input for the backup camera. My problem is with the stereo and its lack of capability. So, not sure if this helps you, but thought I'd share.

If anyone at FR reads this and has a helpful suggestion I'd like to hear from you.

Good luck
