Looking for Owners of Coachmen Sportscoach Pathfinders

Hello to all who stop in & to those who lurk.

DH & I are newbies to Coachmen MHs. We've always owned Fleetwood products but recently purchased a 2013 Coachmen Sportscoach Pathfinder Elite 404RB.

I'm hoping to find others who have owned/own Coachmen products so that we can share questions & hopefully solve issues.

Would LOVE to hear from other owners!

Looking forward to meeting & chatting with everyone!

So does anyone know of any issues we need to be aware of?

Would appreciate any information you'd care to share.

Welcome to the forums. I am sure someone with a model like yours will stop by. You will get more hits here than at RV.net

Ours is the 2013 Coachmen Pursuit and uses several of the same parts and pieces. Chassis and drive train are very different.

Have you looked into joining FROG. Forest Rivers Owners Group.

Welcome, we have a Crosscountry. There are a few Pathfinder members on the forum, just don't hear from them often and that may be a good thing.

Coachmen does stand behind it's product we have found.

CSMRetired = Thanks for the 'welcome.' That does sound promising. But, we purchased this '13 Pathfinder in April of this year & have had to make a trip to the factory because the BIG slide broke several cogs & they we're the only one that could fix it. Was told it was a design flaw so they had a Lippert serviceman come to the factory to update ours. Was told 2 or 3 others had the same issue & after the update they had no issues. We have our fingers crossed every time we push the button to move it. We also had issues with the bedroom slide & had to replace the motor. So far all is well.

The previous owner didn't USE the coach to travel in so the "kinks" didn't get worked out. He only owned it for 9 months. From the 1st day to the last day he owned it it sat on a lot in a RV Village where he lived in it & he's doing the same thing with the new one he purchased. He traded this one in only because he found it not to be BIG enough for him.

We are fulltimers & really love this coach. "YES" Coachmen has stood behind us so far. Just was hoping to go for a year without any repairs. O-well - as they say "stuff" happens.

Thanks again!!

I am guessing you probably worked with Bob Jewell at the factory. Bob is a super guy, he takes care of us as best he can when we go up there; let me clarify going up there. We have gone to the factory twice, to have things added or updated. We have updated our cook top to an induction cook top, replaced all the shades with MCD shades, added a door awning and a hide-a-bed at the sofa. As far as warranty or faulty quality or craftsmanship. .....minimal. As a previous poster mentioned, you should try and attend the annual FROG Rally in Goshen, IN generally held in August. If you can't attend in August, try June in the same location, that is the Coachmen factory rally....either way you can't lose.

We are very very happy with our coach and hope you will be as well.

CSMRetired = You are correct. We worked with Bob Jewell & agree he took good care of us as best he could. Some things we addressed with Nate Hedges, Service Rep. And, before we purchased we called & talked with Zack Eppers, Product Consultant, since we were newbies to Coachmen we wanted some history.

We did attend the Coachmen Rally in June since we were already there having work done. It was our first 'ever' rally. It was informative & we made some great friends that we hope to stay in contact with.

As I mentioned earlier, we do love this coach. It's just was a little disheartening because since we purchased it in April, we had issues with the big slide, bed slide, steps & two slide toppers. But we know that the 'kinks' have to be worked out since the previous owner didn't. <fingers crossed>

ResQfrog - thank you as well for the welcome!

Travel safe to all!!

We missed Nate at the FROG Rally in August, but he did stop by our coach and left a note, business card and a small stuffed dalmatian. ..'Pete' the Coachmen mascot.

Hope we get to meet you folks someday. ...where is your homebase, or do you just roam?

Nate stopped by to help Ron and his assistant make a few repairs, at the FROG Rally. This year was the first time someone from COA stopped by and brought the stuffed dalmatian. Our home base is out of Lancaster, NY. (near Buffalo)

Ron Kroll?
Reason, I asked where you were is every October, we have a small rally in Alabama "Bamaganza". ...in fact it is happening this coming weekend Oct 15 - 18....of course it's a little late this year, but try and make plans for next year if you can. We went from 24 rigs last year to 60 or so this year with the potential to grow from here. We don't offer anything more than fun and friends...or the opportunity to make new friends. We have a great time.

No, we aren't from Alabama. ...we're from Texas. ...we are co-host with BamaBob and Anne-Marie, the coordinators.
