Lost oil fill tube cap

Left off by the service tech. Fell to the road I suspect. The tube has a flat ring (flange) around the top about 1/4 inch wide with not notches or gaps.

I'm struggling to understand what the cap looks like and how it fits on.

Should be a standard Ford oil filler cap if on a Ford chassis. Just go to a auto parts store or Ford dealer ship.

Not sure it is. Garage got me a cap for the 2011 Ford Triton; I picked it up yesterday. Appears to be exactly what I need but the outside diameter of the cap is larger than the inside diameter of the tube.

Leaving tomorrow for 10 day trip so I have to find one today, (and do 525 other things before we leave).

Going to run down to NAPA and see what they may have.

Okay here it is:

Replacement oil cap for 2011 Triton engine Ford F-53 chassis.
NAPA Balkamp brand part number: 703-1693

Cost, just over $5.
