Microwave

We just got our Mirada 29ds, we had a 5th wheel that had a convection/ microwave in it.
The wife got spoiled using the convection/microwave.
My question is has anyone one changed out the microwave to a convection/microwave.

Thanks,
J. Whaley
If so what was the model you used?

As long as it fits the hole it shouldn't be a problem. My 2016 Coachmen Concord came from the factory with a micro/convection oven. We love it... most of the time.

The brand installed is a High Pointe. Going to be kind of expensive to put one in, they seem to run in the $400+ range. Make sure to read the reviews some are better than others.

I have a friend that has a convention microwave for sale. I sent you a PM private message but you have not responded. He is leaving for the FROG rally tomorrow and will be trying to sell it at the garage sale. Respond to my PM and I will try and put you two in touch with each other.

I just changed out my High Point MW for a Dometric Convection/MW in the 5th wheel, not a big job but did need to also change the 20 amp breaker for a 30.

Birdog:
I am in the appliance business and if you want to install a unit that is both a conventional oven and microwave look at the GE Advantium oven. It is pricey but when you use it and see what it can do you will not be disappointed. None of the microwaves that come with these units are even near the quality or have the capabilities that you find in the common household brands. Go to Ge appliances.com to have a look.
