Miranda BH

We're considering a 2015 BH model. We presently have a well tuned 32 foot C that drives like an SUV. I'm worried that without some upgrades to the stock F 53 we will be unhappy. That of courses means $$$ out of the gate on top of the purchase.

Any other advise / concerns you have discovered would be nice to know. We know that we need all three vents upgraded to fantastic fans. Why none are powered amazes me!

Also has anyone installed a washer / dryer in the half bath?

My Coachmen Mirada is about 14 years older than the one your looking at, so there probably isn't a lot of similarities. :-)

On the Ford F53 chassis, you may want to drive it a little bit to see how it handles, I guarantee, it will NOT handle like an SUV.

Before you spend any money on other stuff to improve handling, i.e. track bars, steering stabilizers, etc, etc, etc do this first. You may find the CHF is all you need to do, and if you do it yourself, it won't cost you anything but about 1 hour of your time.

The CHF simply changes the position of the torsion bar links to a different setting, firming up the chassis and greatly improving the characteristics.

You can see how mine are done, Yours are very similar. This one item will vastly improve the "squirreliness" of the F53 chassis.

I would look at the suspension/stability issues as a prepurchase negotiating tool. Waiter21 is spot on when he recommended driving it first. A short trip and you will know.
The dealer can do the CHF for 0$ and you don't get dirty. The newer f-53's have front panhard bars but if you tow you will need a rear. Steering issues are commonly caused by alignment. Make that a condition of purchase. You may not get all the "stuff" for free buy you can, with a little interest based negotiating, save time and $$$. Good luck.
The recipe for perpetual ignorance is:
Be satisfied with your opinions
and content with your knowledge.
