OMG. I was looking in the closet of my Lep and saw some light coming through the joint of the roof and the back wall. I went up and there is nothing broke or torn on the roof. However, there is small part at the end of the roof that is not glued. Have anyone experience this? I am over 1,000 miles from the dealer, so going to them is not an option. Should I use Eternabond??????

Yikes! We have the same unit as yours. Will look in closet for that. As far as temp fix, I'd go with as you mentioned, however I would at least call coachmen and/or closest dealer to advise on this too.

Welcome to the forum! Keep in mind that it shows only in bright sunny days. I am contacting my dealer and Coachmen. It seems the little holes are in the surface under the roof membrane. When there is a lot of light, the light comes through the roof membrane. Keep an eye on yours.

Update. The dealer believes that the light comes through on bright sunny days only because the factory missed putting caulking on the back roof moulding as they did on the sides. Since i am far from the dealer, he is sending me the caulking to put on it. I'll share what happens once I put it on.

Here is a photo of how it looks outside without the caulking. You will see the caulking missing.

I want to share with those of you who own a Ford chassis MH that is under warranty. I learned this week in seeking help with something under warranty. I was told by a dealer that this units are considered Super Heavy Duty and not all Ford dealers are authorized to provide services under warranty. I don't know about you but I no one told me this before. The closest one in my case is 2 hours from me. Thought some of you folks would like to know this, just in case.

Around here, most Ford dealers can no longer get these large vehicle into their shop. Only one Ford dealer around here works on Ford trucks of this size and you have to know where you are going to get it through their yard. another interesting tidbit; Ford told me that the chassis warranty starts when ?Forest River buys the chassis from them, not when we purchase the Motorhome.

AbdRahim,

I was not aware of this issue with the warranty. I don't think it is fair. Well, I ended buying the part in an auto part. It was cheaper than traveling four hours.

Well, I want to share what Coachmen factory people says about the light coming through when the day is really sunny.

"...it is not a structural issue nor will it contribute to water leaks. There is just a small gap between the rear wall fiberglass and roof assembly that is wrapped over by the roof material, the light is simply transferring through the roof fabric. "

I guess I will need to keep and eye on it. They invited me for a factory inspection. I probably do this during spring.

Well, I did my first wash and wax on the unit this week. I did half one day and the other half on the second day, as I am not as young as I used to be. Three hours each day. Looks great.

I drove today with my Leprechaun under a lot of rain driving for hours. It was a lot of rain. When I arrived to Texarkana and open the slides I found some water on the floor where the slides rest when closed. Not a lot of water but some. Has anyone experienced that under a lot of rain? Should I be concerned?

Slide out water leaks

We have a 2016 Concord 300TS and the front 2 slides have leaked since we bought it. In heavy rains they leaked both open and closed. Have had it at the Coachmen Service Center twice and going back again in 2 weeks. Since this has been a continuous problem, they are covering under warranty. The last time, they actually pulled both slides and replaced the bottom seals. They have been very professional and courteous. Hopefully they can locate the problem this time. I feel any water leaks, no matter how small, should be addressed. Will let you know the outcome of this trip.

125992, I have had a TT, a FW, and now this Leprechaun. All bought new, and all of them I use Nu-Finish twice a year. All of them kept looking like new. I am sure there are some more expensive and perhaps better out there but I am ok with the results I get from Nu-Finish.

I love Nu-Finish. Does your unit have full paint? My Mirada is only partial and has decals. I've read not to use polish on decals so I use Aerospace 303 instead.

Hello,

After trying to decide between a Jayco Greyhawk 29MV and a Coachmen Leprechaun 311FS for over 2 months we finally decided on the Leprechaun 311FS. This was due to the extra storage room and we just like the looks of the Leprechaun better than the Jayco.

We pick up her up next Saturday and wanted to ask if we should use automotive wax or something else on the exterior ?

The below picture is the one the dealer took as we have not picked it up yet.

Thanks,

Teri

Teri, congratulations! Nice unit. You can use auto wax on it. I have been using Nu-finish for years with good results. Other brands will work too. Enjoy your new unit.
