New 2016 Mirada 35LS Report

Well, after four days in a full hookup site, here are my first impressions of my Mirada. Love the layout. Drives well with the tire pressure set at the recommended 95psi. Our Jeep Cherokee toad does fine behind the rig. Major systems all work fine and no water leaks of any kind. Love the big shower.

Some minor issues I will let the dealer deal with: cords on blinds need adjustments; oven pilot won't light-lights unless I turn I turn the oven up; one outside door pushed, but not dented-looks like the did the full body paint right over the pushed in area-this will probably end up being a full warranty claim with FR

One very irritating build issue. Why put TVs in with several HDMI connections and Sony DVD players with no HDMI out connections. Did not even know you could even buy DVD players nowadays WITHOUT an HDMI out connection. Now I have to replace three perfectly good DVD players as time and $$ allow. Dumb!

Problem is you could replace those outdated DVD players with new ones but there are no hdmi cables running between the DVD players and the TVs. Not sure how you could easily run them. On another note, are you satisfied with the operation of deploying the L-shaped couch cushion. The salesman couldn't do it and on our walk thru, the tech couldn't either. I manage but with a lot of effort that shouldn't be necessary. Overall we like the 35LS but have had problems with water leaks and an extremely noisy, irritating slide as we drive down the road.

On Monday the coach goes to camping world for installation of a Winegard Dish Trav'ler. They claim they can come up with a solution for the DVDs players and locating the satellite boxes. I have figured the couch situation out but it takes some effort to extend the L shaped section. No leaks but the main slide is noisy sometimes on rough roads. They are not loose, so I guess it's something I will have to live with. Do some reading on the Schwintek slide mechanisms and read the manual on them. If one side of the slide is out of wack you an reprogram them by putting them in and out three times.
