New 260DS On Order - Question on Satellite TV

I have ordered my first RV, a Coachmen Leprechaun 260DS.
The brochure states that it is pre-wired for Satellite TV. However, none of the dealers I spoke to can tell me just how it is wired. I have called and emailed the factory and not gotten a response.

Does anyone know if they are just referring to the cable tv inlet on the side of the coach, wiring on the roof for the optional King satellite dome, or otherwise.

I have tried to do my research on various forums about satellite tvs in RVs but was hoping to obtain some model specific information.

Thank you in advance for your thoughts.

Don't know how you made out but if your coach has the f connector on the roof that is the prewire. Should have a dedicated wall plate with f connector inside.

Typically it means there is a wire run to the roof area for the connections. On my Concord there is a plate on the roof, the wiring is under that plate for the King Dome. IIRC on the Concord you could order the King Dome from the factory, it was on the options list. If you look just to the left side (left in the picture) of the vent closest to the ladder you will see a small plate that has been caulked in place. That is where the connections on my unit are for the King Dome.

As far as the Leprechaun is concerned I would look at the roof of a similar unit and see if the mounting plate is there.

Hi, 2015 Encounter but might be close, Yes there should be plate on the roof, mine was labeled for Satellite Connection. Up front above in the right cabinet there is a wall plate perhaps with a jumper where all your connections are made. I added a second wire to the roof because my T4 has dual connections. When I bought mine nobody knew anything about the wiring. I asked and got blank faces. Had to find it and figure it out myself which you will do alot. Hope this helps. The jacks on the outsides are really just to hook up cable. Attached print of system.
