Prism Radio Antenna

I just bought a 2015 Prism 24G. It comes with an amplified inside antenna pasted to the inside of the windshield. I can hardly get any FM stations. I took the Jensen radio out of the dashboard and used a standard outside antenna, which worked fine.
Does anybody have any experience with the original antenna? I have been told that "they never work".

I have the same unit. It seems to have about the same reception as my Caravan and HHR. The only problem I have had is that the antenna fell off the window and had to be glued back on.

Also have the 24G. Antenna works fine. only problem has been keeping it attached to the windshield.

The dealer reglued mine and it has not come loose. No idea what they used.
