Pursuit Ride Enhancements

Our 2017 27KB rides pretty rough and has considerable lateral roll along with the expected movement created by passing trucks and wind. We added Safe-T-Plus stabilizer which helped considerably. Anyone have experience with Sumo Springs? As I recall someone previously posted success with Blue Ox rear stabilizer installation.

I just upgraded my shocks and added sumo springs and it was such a huge difference I can't recommend it enough. It's like a different coach now. It wasn't cheap but its so much nicer now.

Thanks for providing your results. There doesn't seem to be a single upgrade that cures the handling but Sumo Springs seems to be pretty popular.

The problem is there are different problems.. The steering stabilizer tightened up the steering. The shocks helped with the road bumps and response to that. The sumos helped with ride comfort and sway, along with my rear aux sway bar. The track bar ties the axle in the rear to the frame to help it track straight and correct tail wagging the dog. I've done all, and its a different coach. It was expensive but its soooooo much nicer of a driving experience.

The coach has Koni shocks and Safe-t-Plus front stabilizer.
I plan on stepping through this - cost wise.
Add Blue OX rear stabilizer and Sumo Springs this year and check the improvement.
Appropriate approach?

Yes, only other thing i'd conisder is the rear aux sway if sway is bothering you.

Not sure I know what that fix is?
Put a Safe-t-plus on front and that helped with passing truck push

Cheap handling fix was first. Air pressure adjustment based on weights second. Steering stabilizer then front Sumos last rear track bar.

Just got our 2017 Pursuit back last night. Had front Sumo Springs installed along with a SuperSteer rear trac Bar. Was going to install the rear Sumo Springs but someone saw fit to run a gas line down the RH side of the frame. Shop didn't want to tackle re-routing and we needed the coach back for a trip. Already had the Safe-T-Plus front damper installed. Ran it up and down the Interstate and it made a world of difference. Not a lot of Semi traffic last night but getting ready to take a trip in couple days and will put it to the test. Shop also notice the Ford installed rear sway bar bracket was about to fall off. This probably added to the previous ride, sway problems. Noticed on another forum that this was a somewhat common problem so have attached link to that thread for and F53 owners. Didn't do the CHF yet, want to see how all this works out. May add rear Sumos next Spring when we have more time.

ATTENTION !!!! Ford F-53 Owners READ!! - iRV2 Forums

CHF is adjusting the links on the front and/or rear anti sway bar to the middle hole. Currently all F53 chassis come from Ford with the links in the first hole. There are 3 holes. The middle hole seems to tighten the sway. On IRV2.com under the Ford Chassis group is an extensive discussion on this adjustment.
