Yes, and very clear ones, too. I just got off the phone with Blue Ox customer service representative Melissa, and in her words: "There's nothing we can do."

I'm absolutely appalled that a firm the size and reputation of Blue Ox has left me hanging -- unbelievable!

Here are the two photos I sent to Blue Ox:

In the one photo, it clearly shows that the extender is in contact with my bumper, and in the second one -- with the extender still in contact with my bumper -- the extender's pin hole doesn't ever go inside the motorhome's receiver opening. If the distance between the extender's pin hole and their offset box was three inch's greater, all would be well.

Her response when I asked what I am to do with the tow bars, cover, other accessories, and hundreds of dollars of labor that are invested? "Find someone else who makes a longer extender!"

What a BS answer. That answer probably would have me speechless, but doesn't it make you want you to tell to Ole Miss Melissa that you would rather find a tow bar, base plate and accessories that doesn't require an extension?

I am not sure which Roadmaster model you tried. I found the Roadmaster 070 provides for 7 1/2 and 12 inch extensions, but I have a suspicion that is the one you already tried.

Other than that, kenny's second link may work. I would be hesitant on the first because of the 4000 lb limit. The pintle hitch may still be an option, but since you already have your current tow bar, that doesn't help much either.

I saw that. Not sure what he's tugging.
There are options, that's just the first one that came up!

Kenny,

Thank you, Kenny, very much! #1 wouldn't work due to the weight of my Durango (4,500, fueled), but #2 sure looks like it would.

Do any of you other folks use such a setup: A straight receiver box extender, mated to a receiver box hi-low offset? My application needs a 4" offset, and perhaps I could use the Blue Ox extension I received this afternoon with this item Kenny suggested.

Thank you, Sonny, but my tow bars have a 2" X 2"' end that has to go into the receiver box on a horizontal plane, and there's no coupler ball involved. Thanks for the photos, though.

Not sure why you don't go to fab shop and let them make you one? You would be on your way in 20 minutes

Resolved

Issue was resolved with a bit of research on my part. Blue OX offers a 10,000- pound-rated extension, which they never made mention of, and it allows the Blue Ox 4" adapter to clear my bumper (shown in earlier photo) and it works perfectly.

Thanks to all.
