I bought a '16 Pursuit and I replaced the Seiki Tv's with Samsungsome. Anyone have advice on replacing or modifying TV brackets to fit new TVs?

I replaced the bedroom Sansui TV with a Samsung. Cut some wood pieces and wedged the strips horizontally at the top and bottom of the TV so the TV was tight against the old bracket. Then secured the tv by putting some screws through the back of the old metal bracket into the woods rips. I stole the shelf below the TV to place my satellite controller, DVD player and a 19" sound bar I found on the Internet. My 35LS Mirada has the tv on a swing out cabinet door with DVD storage behind. In the original configuration the speaker faces the back so the tv could barely be heard when the cabinet door was closed. The sound bar below solves that issue.

The only issue I had doing this was the mounting bolt pattern on the TV didn't mate with the pattern on the FR mount. It was just a matter of respoting a couple holes on the mount which was some type of plastic. I would probably be more inclined to use long enough screws and a stack of flat washers or small fender washers, if I understand you correctly. I can't hardly believe you aren't mating a flat surface to a flat surface

My fix was't elegant, but it works and the new tv has not moved at all. I could not believe my 2016 Mirada was not wired for high def tv and the supplied DVD players had composite connections, which will not play blue ray dvds'. I have since rectified the issue.
