When we owned the Jayco Whitehawk TT and all we had was the 30 amp portable surge guard, I disconnected the shore power cord which was connected inside a rear storage compartment with the TT wiring(there was an electrical junction box in there), bought a female and a male 30 amp plug....put the female on the TT wires and the male on the end of the shore power cord where it was disconnected....then simply connect the portable surge protector to those new female and male plugs inside that back compartment which was always locked....then at a campsite, simply plug in to the post....btw, if those outside storage compartments have the #751 locks, you should change those locks so everyone does not have a key.
