Water Pump Location

Can anyone please tell me where the water pump is located on my 2013 Coachmen Freelander (19'), and how to access it?

water pump

Water pumps are supposed to be located within 6 ft. of the fresh water tank. On my 2013 Grey Wolf (Cherokee) 28BH it is mounted under the lavatory sink behind a plywood panel which is held in place with 4 small screws. You could also try turning the pump on and locating it by the noise; but be careful that you DO NOT run it dry, so there must be water in the fresh water holding tank.

Our Freelander 28QB has the FW tank and pump under the bed near the low point drains. The top of the bed has a hinged access.

Good to know, the 6' part. Something I never gave any thought. Only makes sense to be close to the tank.

ON the 26' Freelander it's under the stove. You can also get to it by removing a grating under the stove. It's buried way back - not the most user friendly spot.

Hey Paul,

Have you made any headway on moving the fresh water tank drain valve?

Have you made any mods to your 28QB that you would like to share with me?

I have made a couple mods.
1. In stalled manual step. Click image for larger version

I would like to find an automatic step but the extra outside depth below the door is an issue.

Also installed struts to hold dinette seat up when accessing storage.

I plan to add one or two struts under the bed access.

I will have to remove some of the top plate in the first picture for the strut to fit. Will add additional vertical support below and to side of where i notch top plate.
You can see the top of the water pump in that picture also.

I also made a filter for the heater return. Having two dogs needed to control the hair getting to the heater.

This is the back side of return. There is still a one inch plus opening at the top when installed so I do not expect much restriction in air flow.

No, I have not moved it yet. Any updates on how your mod worked?

on the Freelander 32BH the water pump is located behind the bedside drawers closest to the cab...
