Winterize 2016 22QB warning

If you have a new 22QB do not try and follow the instructions from FR that are titled 2015 Winterizing. The pictures in that document do not represent what Coachmen is actually building.
Here is the low point drains

Here buried behind the heater ducts are the Hot water tank by pass.

The water pump is not near the shower per instructions but behind a panel in the Basement

Close-up of the pump

Now I haven't worked out how to install the CAMCO By-Pass kit as Coachmen decided to mount the input line tight against the drain line.

The fitting they suggest we use is a special order part so if you decide to go that route plan ahead.

When / if i figure out how to install the by-pass kit. I will post the information here.

Good Luck

Here are some shots showing the clearence FR allowed for service of the water pump.
Note that this 6-1/2" is for the two easy screws. The other two have only 5" for the 1" screw + driver + your hand.

FR has admitted the pump needs to be moved to allow the suggested fittings (special order from FR dealers) be installed to allow the pump to allow suction of antifreeze into the lines. I would challenge someone from FR to "move" the pump in under a couple hours without spending $50 to $200 on special tools.
Starting screws into the floor without pilot holes should be interesting.
