Wiper Replacement

I need your help. I have a 2013 Coachman Mirada that I am attempting to replace the wiper blades. We are the 2nd owners of the motorhome. On our way back from the Oregon coast we ran into a bad rain storm and I lost the passenger side wiper. When I looked at the drivers blade it appears whoever owner the coach previously didn't purchase the correct blades. They have a J hook and the blade but doesn't go in far enough to lock into place. According to a Trico wiper replacement chart at Camping World I was suppose to use a 28" Trico Flex 18-280 blade. But it didn't lock into place. I went to O'Reily Auto Parts and tried a Trico 28-9 and it didn't lock into place as well. I am hoping a Coachman owner out there can help as we are getting ready to head to AZ for the winter. Thanks

Mine is a '14 but still has the hook. I went to wally mart and bought the bosch excel+
Clicked right on. Under $10. each. Now I put a tennis ball under the arms so the blades dont stick or flatten on the windshield. Enlarge the pic to the left and you can see them.

I believe "J" hook type wipers come in 2 "J" hook widths and all longer wipers from WM come with inserts for both sizes. Maybe not.

Wiper Replacement

Duckogram, Thanks for your help. I went to my local Walmart and they have a Bosch ICON but couldn't find Bosch +.& nothing in Bosch close to 28". Are your wipers 28"? Do your wipers have an insert for the J hook to fit into or do the just slip right on?

Robby1,
Yes, 28". But that does not mean that 30-32 will not work.
It was a while back but I believe bubbles is correct and there was a bag of adapters in the sleeve.
Not all Wally Marts are created equal. Its all about demographics.

Want to safe your wiper arm rubber? Buy a length of hollow styrofoam tubing, cut to 2" over blade length, slice open one side and slide over blade while your coach is parked. Saves blades from the sun and your blade won't stick to the windshield.
