Wireless tilt control for the backup camera

My backup camera, like most just looks down for parking in reverse. Anyone know of a wireless servo that I can control, while driving, to raise the backup camera to see what is close behind me?

To be simpler, what I want, is if I put the RV in reverse, the camera looks down and I see the display, and when I put it in drive, it looks up at what is behind me. I see lots of stuff to add an extra display, extra wiring. I don't want that.

I am not going to say that it does not exist, but I don't recall having ever seen it in a back up camera. Webcams yes. No clue what it would take to marry the two...

Maybe hack an electric mirror setup for the mount for the camera?

Visit your local Hobbytown or hobby shop and look at the radio control equipment. I'm sure you could McGyver something up.

IPhone strap on stuff seems the way to go. Camera strapped to the rear of the unit, wifi to the iPhone. Less than $100.

Check out "Swan Security" since they have cameras that are controllable. Not sure if they would work for outside, but, maybe they would have something. Their products are available in a lot of stores, too.

I've seen a few but none that weren't already made that way to begin with.
I've never seen an add on kit to tilt something that was stationary from the start.

Here is one from Rear View Safety. I think etrailer sells this one too.

Here is one from BOYO on Amazon.

Here's one from Hanscom K.

I have checked around and cannot find any type of "add on" to move the camera. I did find a hack that would allow the camera to be on all the time, but with it pointing downwards, I don't think it would work as a "rear view" device. I know they make movable cameras since I had one in my last coach, but I don't know if it's a simple conversion. Maybe the manufacturer would have something.

Gonna try this in the rear window with velcro and an auxiliary battery connected to my iPhone. I don't need a great picture, I just want to know if someone is directly behind me. If it doesn't work I'll return it for free.

I learned the hard way that if your vehicle has a factory built in back up camera it is on the same frequency as most other back up cameras so all you get is static when you go to use it. I have an I Ball camera that i consistly had problems with until I figured out they were on the same frequency. Called the I Ball people they were more
Than happy to sell me a newer version for $169.00 needless to say I was pretty disappointed with that deal

There are outside cameras on the market that can be panned and tilted. I was just looking at a Garmin product that does. I think the part number is 010-11372-00. It's a little pricy and the Garmin add did not provide info on what monitors to use to display what it's sees.

I don't see where the Garmin 010-11372-00 can be panned and tilted remotely which is what the OP wanted.

I could be mistaken about its ability to be panned and tilted because Garmin's add offered very little info. I had to Google other info sources on it and found one that indicated it could be panned and tilted. I can't remember the other source though. Sorry

I think you need two cameras for this or one with a wide scope. I use a Voyager. It doesn't tilt but let me look close to the rear bumper plus 15-20 feet from it. I have it on all the time not connected to the reverse lights. It's very handy to see what is behind me.

From post #9 above, the directions were not very good, but I had it up and running in five minutes, the picture transmitted to my iPhone is good enough for me to see if someone is behind me. $25 delivered from Amazon, and I'm happy. I'll use an auxiliary plugged in to the camera to extend time it can be used.
