New 2015 Aviators are out! The have kept the same basic shape but have painted them white, reduce the overall weight substantially and cut the msrp by 40K. The interior is completely different with the curved cabinets, fireplace, and entertainment center gone. There is no more outside storage and the slideout does not appear to go out as far as the original. I can't tell if they kept the fiberglass roof and even though it appears from the outside to have the giant front picture windows they are nowhere to be seen on the inside. There is no mention of them in the sales description either. Could they possibly be faux?! No mention of the new Aviator on FR website. Here is a link for those who are interested. 2015 Forest River Forest River Aviator 28bhs, Carthage MO - 114283235 - RVTrader.com

I like ours a whole lot more. The 2013 are much more elegant than this one. But I thought they were not building these any more.

I had heard also that they were going to produce a cheaper version so I guess this is it. It seems they took the upgraded components out but I am most curious about the windows. The amazing view is what makes an Aviator an Aviator! Looking at the photos it would seem they should be in the front bedroom but all you see is a wall and cabinets. The original Aviator model that has the front bedroom the glass makes up nearly the whole front wall with no overhead cabinets because the window extend up over the head of the bed. It would seem rather silly to make fake windows though.

I found out a little more about the 2015 Aviators. From what I could gather from the salesman was that they bought the three of them from Indiana as they are known for selling surplus RVs. There doesn't appear to be anymore other than these three. He told me he didn't think the front windows were real but wasn't sure if they were a decal or something else. He didn't know to much else. I suspect Forest River built these three as a way to use leftover Aviator bodies and no more will be coming out. So if you want to be REALLY unique you can own one of what may be the only Aviator bunkhouses ever made!

Hi everyone,
it's only taken us a year to take the plunge. We are super excited and have a Wright Flyer (silver) coming to us in about a week.

So, we are trying to decide on a sway control/weight distribution system... We have a 2012 F250. I have scoured the forums (pretty much every RV forum I can find). What do you use? What are your thoughts?

Melissa
