Sewer hook up?

So we bought the flexible sewer hook up pipe but it doesn't have anything to hook it up to on the hard pipe of the unit. Is it missing something?

You can buy JUST the hose or the hose with the hook ups on each end.
Which one did you get.
JUST the hose can be bought for people that are wanting an extension.

Neither of these ends fits onto the pipe. Is there an adapter that needs to go on the rv pipe first?
Thanks

What unit do you have? I do not see any bayonet coupling (which is current industry standard...I thought!)

Hmmm does it look like a rhino flex would work?

Amazon.com: Camco 39761 RhinoFLEX 15' Sewer Hose Kit with Swivel Fitting: Automotive

Short of a Waste Master from Lippert (High End) this is the best out there

The end on the right of the Pict should fit your pipe - I am not sure why your pipe is smooth

Looks as though you are missing an adapter. The coach should present with a fitting with the pins on the OD of the fitting.(like your hose) The female slots then fit over the pins and tighten with a wedge effect on two of four pins. The fitting you pictured is not standard to the Industry in this Century.

You could buy the male pin pipefitting with a glue socket fit. Cut your pipe where its straight. Fabricate a new pipe hanger behind the new fitted adapter.

The confusion maybe that the photo is of the storage tube.
The sewer hose goes all the way thru and connects with bayonet fitting under trailer. I was confused at first (this is my first RV)

So I have to crawl up under the trailer to connect the flex pipe? This is also my first RV and wasn't briefed on how to hook it up. The owners manual that I down loaded doesn't show me how to hook it up either.

Correct - the swing out tube is for storage.
At the other end is a little flex pipe...slide that back to expose the bayonet fitting coming from the trailer.

Ah hah!! Well thank you Sea-Born. That makes sense and I can stop looking for an adapter that doesn't exist:-)

I would buy a 4-6' length of ABS pipe and two fittings and do it right.

That will not work...the other end of the storage tube is not sealed to the sewer outlet...you will be flushing to the ground.
The terminal under the trailer is standard 3" bayonet fitting.

In ours the swing out is storage for your hose. You have to one time crawl underneath the camper and hook up your sewer hose after you feed it thru the swing out tube. Then when you need it screw off the cap and pull your hose out and connect to drain.

You have to crawl under just one time to hook it up after that you just pull it out each time. This is the storage for your flex pipe. You will have to pull the rubber pip down and then you will see the cap that will need to be removed so that you can hook your flex pip up to thru the storage pipe. Its real simple to do and is a nice feature. Good like
