2016 30 DS roof bubbles and repair

Just checking to see how many have had bubbles in the fabric roof and needed repair or replacement of the entire fabric roof. I found bubbles in mine after the last trip and dealer said it was loose about 12 feet back and needed to have that section cut out and replaced.
Kinda wonder now why they went with a fiberglass roof in the 2017's and newer RV's. Looks like about 2500.00 to do the cut out and replaced with a new teflon roof membrane.
Anyone else had this problem and if so, what was the FIX?

bubbles

Depending how large and where it is I was told to leave it alone as long that it is not leaking. Also so people have slice the bubble open re glue it than patch over it . all depends size and location. For a little more money mite look in to RV Armour.

You want a seam connecting the two sections? It's all one piece now isn't it? If I was going to do that I would just do a whole new roof

I think the entire new roof was in the neighborhood of 6K, but only have a few bubbles in the front 6-10 feet. Does anyone know what type of fabric rook the FR3 in 2016 has?

Roof

Roof warranty is 100% first year than Material for the next 12 years but but its on a sliding scale over 12 years should not have to pay for Material just labor . Contact Forest river for info roof maker. there is a post some where on roof maker and warranty.

Goto their website and ask your question. They've gotten back to me fairly quick from what I remember and was able to send pictures for them to look at and give me some feedback. Here is the contact of the person I've dealt with.

I was purchased late in 2015 just as the 2016's were coming out. I'm the 2nd owner. Thanks Carl17, sent that info to my repair shop, and Jeff Hood, and posted on Alpha systems web site. For anyone out there that has problems with the roof, this is the warranty from Alpha Systems:

I’ve had some small(less than 6”) bubbles on our 05 Cardinal since new. Haven’t done anything with them and they haven’t gotten larger. My fix for a large bubble would be to cut a small slit in the center, pump in some caulking, roll it smooth, seal the crack and done.
