2016 FR3 30DS Looking to buy

My wife and I found a 2016 FR3 30DS in RV trader and are talking about going to look at it next week. Are there any issues that I need to be aware of or common problems? This unit has 16K miles on it. What are some of the most common problems with this product major and minor?

Thanks in advance

I have a 2016 as well. With that kind of miles on it, most of the bugs could be worked out.

I strongly encourage you to read through these posts. ESPECIALLY, regarding the slideouts and the roof.

Thank you I will do that. I did see a post about a slide seal breaking. Is the roof rubber or fiberglass? I’ll try and search more on those issues. Thanks again.

Its a rubber membrane on the 2016s.

I have the 2015...
I believe the 2015 and newer models have an updated motor on the slide-outs... I have had no issues whatsoever with mine.
My Furrion TV quit and was replaced on warranty and my Furrion DVD hasn't worked since I took a trip on the "goat path" that is Interstate 90 thru Montana...
The other problem I've had is the Air Conditioner... that was specific to the 2015 models of Dometic Air Conditioners... (they had a batch that came up defective and mine was replaced from Dometic for free)

Beyond that, I've had good luck with mine... my wife and I are still very happy with the purchase. It isnt' the bottom of the line and it's not the top of the line but it's somewhere in the middle...
It fits us and it's comfortable.

Good luck

Good luck

Knock on wood, dude. I have had both motors fail in my 2016.

My choice was between the FR3 and the 270S. The FR3 won on most accounts (50% more storage, liked layout better, …). I would have purchased one, but the red line was the membrane roof. That is a no-no with me! The 270 was also 2 feet shorter. The 2' extra would have been limiting on most of my excursions. There is no 1 right answer, each must chose what is right for them. The 270 is no longer manufactured - I purchased the last one on the line - BIG MISTAKE there. Never get an end run model.
