25ds

The new FR3 25DS floor plan is soooo awesome, I saw it at a dealer in southern CA this week. 25' double slide with a king bed, huge dinette, lots of outside storage... 26'10" overall length!

Are there any information yet on the 25DS?

Smaller FR3

I heard about the new and smaller FR3 from a Factory Rep. And am interested to see it! I assume details will be leaked soon?

How come nothing on the website if there is one at a dealer? Sure it is an FR3 and not something else?

I'm pretty sure the one floating around California is a demo or pre-production unit. I'm also going to go out on a limb and say that there is a good chance it was out here for use and testing by the FR3 project manager from Forest River for the 4th of July holiday.
Should be officially announced soon, I'm pretty sure they are already on the assembly line.

That's a trailer with the same model number when you pull up the ad.

We have a 2013 25DS. The floor plan from the provided link looks the same, the only difference I can make out is the front storage doors on ours are hinged at the top of the door and the picture of the 2014 shows it hinged on the left side. In addition ours has a small storage in the back, to the left of the rear door and inside are all the valves, water filter and the water heater.

As you will see by other posts, these thing as are evolving fast. I bought one last night that was made in October of last year and according to another post theirs was also built that month but they got the under dinette storage but we did not. Flooring, mattress, awning light are also all updating, always for the better.

If you are still looking I would use these to get a better deal. You should be able to get a chunk off if you are buying a new 2014 that is not as nice as the others.

Unfortunately 16 inches of snow and temps below 10 mean it will sit for awhile but that will give time to modify the shelves and decide where to store what.

Finally done with the big remodel of the closet. I ripped out the doors, front, drawer etc and had a big whole. I replaced the paneling on the right 1/2" plywood and built a shelf and then tracks for wire baskets from the Container Store. There was a junction box under the drawer that I converted to another receptacle. I built two new full size doors out of black walnut. Everything got a dark cherry stain and two coats of poly. I installed LED lights around the inside of the doors and they are controlled by two switches so if you open only one door these lights go on. Mirrors on the doors make the space look bigger, and I did not have to try to duplicate the raised panel doors. The doors do have the beading around the outside edge. The baskets were about $250 and all the lumber, plywood, mirrors, lights etc were another $250. And I already had the walnut and trim pieces. More work and money than I thought but now I have lots of storage. The middle section holds the dinette pad and the ladder for the upper bunk fits in well also.
The left door is notched at the bottom to clear the slide out thing.Click image for larger version
