30amp vs 50amp

I have a 30 amp hook up in my 25ds coach. Question I have is if i arrive at a campground can I use a 50 amp hookup if I have the adapter plug without causing any damage to the unit?

Along these same lines - if i have both 30 and 50 amp available, is there an advantage to using the 50 amp socket with an adapter over just plugging straight into the 30 amp receptacle? Is the 50 amp circuit more stable?

No, it will all be fed from the same panel and transformer.

The only difference I've ever noticed is the 50 amp is less used and as such is not as easy to flip on/off as the 30 amp. The 30 amp breakers are a little more spongy feeling .

Agree with the other posts, and if I had a 30 amp I would be tempted to use an adapter with the fresher, cleaner 50 amp receptacles. HOWEVER, as others have said in the past, it is technically a violation of the Electrical Code, since the 30 amp cable is being fused at the panel for 50 amps and not 30. Once you get to your RV panel, the rest of your system is then protected by your 30 amp main breaker. So the only liability is the plug, shore power cable, RV outside cable receptacle if you have one, and the wiring that goes to your panel. The odds of a problem, however, are minimal. You won't damage anything unless there is a problem on the run to your panel, and if there is, the 50 amp breaker in the pedestal will generally cover it fine.
