30DS Awning Confussion

Well took the 2018 out for a few days up at Salisbury State Reservation in MASS. After setting up the MH I decided to put the awning out. Well, I pushed the switch to OUT and nothing...tried a couple times and still nothing...Then it moved a few inches so I hit the IN position and well to my surprize it went out but when it reached the end it started going back in...So after a few times of reverse IN and OUt it seemed to right itself...Anyone seen this before or have any thoughts

Not unusual. Holding the extend switch to long or actuating the switch in the wrong direction when de-ployed can sometimes cause the awning to do as you saw.

When we picked up our 2016 30ds the awning was wound backwards just like you said. We just had to run it out all the way and continue on until it was wound back up the other way.

It can happen easily. Just look at it when it is rolled up closed. You want the canvas on top of the roll, so that it sheds water, rather than coming from the bottom of the roll where it would trap water inside the roll.
