5.5 generator

My FR3 has a 5.5 generator and when it’s hot it will stop running and the code will be it ran out of fuel? It pulls its fuel from the motorhome’s fuel tank and it’s got plenty of fuel. I have traced the fuel line back to the tank and I don’t see any problems with it and I have replaced the fuel pump and I change the fuel filter every time I change the oil. Does anyone know if there’s another filter down in the tank?
Also when I hit the primer button the pump never builds up pressure and slows down.

My old south wind generator would quit at 1/3 of a tank so it didn’t drain the tank.

It runs off of my main tank and it don’t seem to matter what level it is. But thanks

Is there an outside vent ? If the genus not vented it will vapor lock. On my FR3 the gen door was solid. In really hot days it would stall. Once I replaced the door with a vented door it was fixed. Try running it with the door opened. While parked!

On another forum, people who have long runs with their fuel lines have added a secondary pump further down the line, which seems to take care of the problem. Never had the issue so I'm pretty ignorant on the how to. Good luck though.
