AC/furnace Issues

Good Morning All: We're used to boondocking so the luxury of 30 amp service is new to us. Over the weekend we were at a campground that had 30/50 amp power. We needed to use the heat and when I went to set the temp for the furnace the AC fan automatically started. The only way to turn off the fan was to turn the furnace off OR disconnecting shore power and going back to batteries.........Furnace worked great on battery power. Any ideas?
Thanks, Barry

Common question here.
Your thermostat's fan setting is likely set to 'ON'
Set it to "AUTO' and the A/C fan won't run.

Many folks like this feature though as it distributes the warm air more evenly. (heat rises)

A search of the forum turns up MANY questions about this very thing.

*HERE* is one prior discussion.

That would be awesome if the solution was so simple...........I'll take operator error anytime compared to having to take the coach back in for service. THANK YOU for the quick reply. Barry

What year FR3?

My 2015 has a heat pump mode for the a/c and if it is above 46 it will run. To get the furnace to run, you need to press the furnace button and that will make it the primary heat source.

The fan for the heat pump will cycle based on the temperature of the a coil in the unit. The heat pump on my unit works great.
