Adding 'warmer' LED strip to ceiling LEDS
I could have sworn I saw pictures of a mod. He/she added a warmer/softer led strip & switch to the bright ceiling LEDS. But cannot for the life of me find it.
Anyone?
Ps, I'm sure the LEDS installed cannot be dimmed. I would solder an extra strip with a switch.

I don't remember one. But it does look like it would be easy enough to do if you have some soldering capabilities. Just order one of those 15 ft LED strips on Amazon and cut to size then solder the contacts. Could also have two strips of different lengths tied to a 2 position switch for Hi/Low modes...Something that the bedroom reading light could use. That one is too damn bright.

Might have been me.
I modified the ones over our bed to produce a nice soft yellow light.

Oh, but they can be dimmed.
Simply add one of *THESE* inline.
There are others (similar) for less $$ if you search.

You might be right, but I will be dimming the same color temp. If i am going to solder, I would rather solder in a much warmer strip, around 2700K, perhaps adding the dimmer anyway

Minature SPDT (on/on)
(single pole double throw)
Hot goes in center tap and out either side depending on switch position.

If all your wanting is an ON/OFF LED light strip, using a toggle switch wired directly to the batteries/converter will work just fine. Might be a little brighter when on shore power since its a little higher in voltage.

Exactly Mike!
Not making it more complicated ( and $$$ ) than need be. It will be just 3 short strips to light up underneath each of the 3 shelves I built in the pantry next to fridge (28DS) activated by a doorswitch.
Will post pictures when done.

It worked!!!
Pictures don't really do it justice, the second strip is real soft and pleasant. Don't think I will be using the 'operation room' setting that much
Will probably just swap out the strip in the two bedroom lights, easier.

We added photographic gel to our lights..... warms them up quite a bit and cuts back on the brightness. We left several alone, and gelled the rest. That way we have warm subdued lighting when we want, and brighter light when we need it.

Love the photographic gel option!
(but then one doesnt get to play with LED strips and soldering iron)

Looks good Dutch! I need to do the same to our bedroom, but this last trip the screen door latch broke. So its a good time to mod that with some magnets. One day, I keep telling myself these mods will stop.

I have a hard time to decide what I enjoy more, working on the RV or going camping with it
The door is next. It is way too snug and takes too much to close it

I don't know if yours is similar to mine, but my door was hitting the bottom of the strike plate (door sagging) and couldn't adjust it any more. I ended up prying the door up between the latch and the door pins. I gave it a couple tugs and now shuts like butter. It does still bind if the sun it on that side of the RV due to thermal expansion. Maybe I need to break out the 12 ton jack. lol.
