Anode Rod for 2015 FR3 DS30

Anyone know what the right size is to replace the anode rod in the water heater? Wanting to order it from Amazon and be there when I get back.

Suggest you state what make/model your water heater is, NOT what unit you're driving.

They're pretty standard. I'd remove the one you have, take it to Home Depot, and find one just like it there.

My 2015 FR3 has a Suburban water heater, they are glass lined and require anode number 232767.

I always suggest buying two. You save a trip or postage and if you keep the RV, you will need to replace in a year or two.

Suburban used a standard 3/4NPT anode rod about 10 inches long. Atwood does not use an anode rod.

Since the anode is designed to be sacrificial, I figure if it is eroding quickly, it is doing so to protect the system. Since they are cheap and easy to replace I buy several at a time and replace when they drop below 50-25% of original mass. Some water requires the aluminum anode if the magnesium anode goes away in a couple of months or less.
Interestingly, earlier in the week, while parked at Sesquicentennial State Park in Columbia SC, the water started smelling like sulpher, I thought 'oh no', and planned a flush and decontamination of the water system. But after leaving and travelling to a park in TN, the sulpher smell is gone, it was part of the chemical makeup in the Park's water supply. I imagine that would wipe out an anode in a short time.
