Another step question

I accidentally let the house battery go completely dead while parked at home with the steps out and when I was about to leave, there was no power to bring up the steps. I solved the problem by plugging in and recharging the batteries a bit. But is there another solution? Is there a way to manually raise the steps?

With the doors closed you should be able to retract the steps by actuating the emergency start switch. it will tie the coach and chassis batteries together. Release switch when retracted. The coach batteries should charge up while driving.

You could also fire up the generator.
