We heat our 5er with an Eden Pure. Added a separate circuit for it. Can move it over by the furnace and just turn furnace blower on and it circulates the air all thru the underbelly and the 5er.

My trailer came with two electric fireplaces. They heat it very nicely. Each has it's own built in thermostat and dedicated breaker (50A service). We usually leave the one in the living room on at night and turn off the one in the bedroom. On really cold nights, the one fireplace cannot keep up so the furnace will cycle to maintain a minimum temperature. I installed a programmable thermostat on the furnace so the trailer heats up in the morning before we get up.

my 5er also came with a electric fireplace- here in upstate ny I use it in my house during winter, I have to remove it anyways to get to the water filter which is behind the fp

Don't understand that warning. My FIL has been using an electric blanket in his Class C for years. And Roo's/Shamrock's have heated mattresses (located essentially in a "tent!").

I've used an electric blanket in my RV for years. (actually heated mattress pad)
Not sure why the warning?

If you like the cute fireplace, go for it.
You shouldn't have any problems whatsoever, especially on low. (750w)

This electric blanket warning intrigued me, so I Googled "Why no electric blanket in an RV??" About the only negative thing I could find was that some blankets apparently don't play well with some cheap inverters or lousy generators that don't put out a nice sine wave.

If that's really the reason, then the blanket should have warned not to use with lousy generators or cheap inverters that don't put out good sine waves; it should NOT have simply said not to use in RV's. But I guess it's a CYA world we live in.

I have several retired fire fighter friends. Not 1 would ever use an electric blanket other than a warm up on a cold day and then unplug it. They all have responded to emergency calls where people were badly burned.
People complain about China bomb tires......who is making these blankets?! Think about it.

Here's a good price on a 750/1500W model with fan. Switch to 750W setting when using other high-load appliances or electric water heater.

Some electric blankets are not compatible with power inverters. I power my tv's with a power inverter and we hadn't unplugged the electric blankets. They were both turned off, but both controls were smoked. I had to open windows to clear all the smoke. Since many RVs have power inverters, they tell you not to use these blankets. I'm getting a new inverter that is "pure" or "true" sine wave instead of the common, "modified sine wave" inverters. This should eliminate the risk, should we forget to unplug them.
