Do I have to keep water in all 3 tanks if I have the heaters on?

Yes, otherwise the heater coils will get hot and burn out or weaken the bottoms of your tanks. I could be wrong, but I don't think there is a thermostat on the heaters.

First of all, "Arctic Pack" is only a marketing ploy. If you have heat pads, they are usually 12 volt stick on pads with internal wiring like a heated blanket. They transfer a small amount of warmth to the bottom of the tanks where the tank contents absorb this warmth. They will lose their effectiveness when the tanks are empty but will not harm anything if left on. We keep our fresh water tank filled, black tank closed and the gray tanks open with the tank heaters on, no problem.

44 -64 deg F on and off with "FLUID in Tanks" never have heat on without Fluid! Now the Valve and pipe heaters have no Themostat they are just On/Off! So this is a confusing situation when the system Only has 1 switch for all Heaters in the system! Just the Messenger! Youroo!! This came from the "Ultraheat Web Page"!
