We use ours all the time. Just make sure you tilt it to one side or the other if there's heavy rain. Thunderstorms - roll it up to prevent wind damage.

So acts like a regular awning...was worried about it as you can’t adjust it much ...you pull down on one side and the wind takes it back up again...gotta look at getting the arms to adjust and stay that way

lazbo...

search a number of threads on buying or making awning supports for the ends of the awning...

Lazbo, what unit do you have? Most awnings I have seen have knobs that can be tightened to keep one end lowered.

We camped out and rode dirt bikes in California City one weekend. It poured on us on our last night there. I loaded up everything into the back of my truck and parked it under my awning. I pulled down the back arm so water flowed away from my truck. Worked great! Lots of rain but no wind luckily.

I’ve got a 30 ds...loved my other awning on my older motorhome...you could make a nice slope on one side for rain and position the arms both down and nail them to the ground...but now I wish that it had adjustment knobs to give it a good slope...have modify the Solera awning
