During our PDI the tech showed me that if don't stop when the awning is fully extended, it will actually roll it self back up, winding in the 'wrong' direction. There is no automatic stop position, it just keeps going as long as you hold down the button. Doesn't seem to hurt anything but it sure looks funny and I bet it will trap water.
When you unroll, get to the end where the visor flap is free then stop, and later, when you wind it back up, be sure to press the button in the opposite direction so it winds backwards from the way it went down. He also stressed that if you pulled the the arms down to change the angle, make sure you remember to put both of them back to straight when you roll it back up.
