Black Tank Flush

Been trying for awhile to get the black tank flush to work on my 2019 FR3 33DS.

I feel I may have a bad check valve or something preventing water to enter the black tank -
(I use a clear elbow so I can see when water leaves the tanks) No water Ive never been able to use it and water will not flow into the tank.

Any advice on possible culprits to check?
Of course, I assume the FR3 has a check valve someplace that may be blocked or not working -

Read through the following thread for hints. There are many such threads on this forum. This one has a picture.

Mine wouldn't work at all and I bought it brand new. I too thought it was a bad check valve. Found that behind a panel, took it apart, put it together, it tested fine. So I crawled under the camper, located where the line came in from the outside of the camper and followed it. The factory monkeys had zip tied it in a tight 180 degree bend. I cut the zip tie, but the pex didn't want to be round anymore. I moved the pipe to give it room and forced it round with pliers and zip tied the kink to keep it round. Then the flush worked great, and still does 6 years later.

My black water connection they pinched between the frame and floor of trailer. It’ll only take Forest River 3 months to fix it.

There have also been reports here of the flush check/antisiphon valve being plumbed backwards.

Im going to start this up again and hope more FR3 owners can chime in. My black tank flush is still not working, never has. I had some time to try to locate the Check Valve.
I've searched everywhere I could reach and see. I check the bathroom, I check behind the wetbay. I checked the kitchen. All no luck in finding the Check Valve.

Before I twist myself into knots and try to access the location behind the toilet in the false wall or Washer/Dryer area any other suggestions from FR3 owners where one might find this check valve where YOU have seen it.

Odds are if you own a FR3 of 2017-2020 it might be in the same location.
If you own an FR3 and know where your Check Valve is, please let me know and pictures are appreciated.

Thank you

I don't know where mine is, but it is working.

The backflow valve by code needs to be higher than the toilet seat. I suspect mine is behind a panel under the bathroom sink.

Wish mine did... Having one bear of a time locating mine... Not to many places higher than the toilet. You don't think they would install it behind the shower where I'd have to remove the panelling?

Mine was way up behind the kitchen sink. It was installed backwards. A little tricky to get to it.

We've had reports of other brands being behind the shower wall.

They had to remove the shower faucets to get to the anti-siphon/check valve.

I wanted to circle back and let ya'll know I finally found the check valve for the Black tank flush.
Somehow I missed it, is located under the bathroom sink, however it was zip tied to the back side of the drain where I could not see or feel it.

So, now that I found it, my black tank flush still does not work i put a hose to the input (in my wet-bay and turned the water on.... nothing enters the black tank for over 15min no water, zip nada

Suggestions???

Should I replace the Check Valve? Any suggestions on what one on Amazon are there better quality ones vs OEM?

Assume that does not solve the issue what other things can I look at before I take drastic measures..
Thank You

Did you look to see if it was plumbed backwards? They are one way valves.

Did you connect the outside hose to the flush port, (don't turn on yet) go inside and pull the input line off the valve, put it in a bucket, have someone slowly turn on the water and see if water gets at least that far?

It's common on some models for the black tank check valve to have been installed backwards. You might want to check to ensure that the inlet is on the correct side.

Pull it out and just see if you can blow hard through it in one direction.

Actually, now that I think about it I don't think one could blow through it because of the small check valve ball bearing. It will take water pressure to check it out. Disregard the blowing.
