Boat towing

Is anyone towing a boat with their MH?
Any problems at boat ramp launching with the MH?

I've towed and launched boats with my truck and technically there should be no problem towing a boat to your destination with your MH but I would highly recommend that once you get to your destination you disconnect your boat and park in the campground overflow parking and find someone at the boat ramp willing to use a truck to launch and retrieve your boat for you. You just won't have the maneuverability or visibility to navigate a boat ramp.

Your MH has at least six feet of real estate behind the dual tires. Depending on e terrain you might find that as you climb an incline your bumper / hitch might drag. My 30ds has scrape bars mounted on the underside but even with them i crunched the trailer connector and had to replace it after climbing up a steep driveway.

FR has since moved that connector so it's not the lowest point.

You are free to do what you like but my opinion only...is not to try to launch a boat with a MH.

Boat towing

I don't think that these MH have limited slip differentials like a trucks, so their could be a chance for rear wheel spinning. I definitely would not let the tires get wet or slippery

Thanks Trick. My question was directed at that specific issue along with maneuverability. The overhang is a real issue. Is the 6' overhang on the 30 ft model ? What about the 25 ft model?

FDP I use a 4wd truck but have never needed to used 4wd on a boat ramp. Nor have I engaged my limited slip. I have a rather light bass boat that is not heavy or hard top pull.

Sorry, I assumed it was something heavy. I've seen a lot of messy situations at launching ramps.

No problem fdp. Seen them too. That's why I'm asking. I don't want to be the one in a viral you tube video on how not to use a boat ramp!
