Broken Windshield--Stress Crack--Warrenty?

Hey Guys, My windshield broke(cracked) on the drivers side sorta like a fat crescent from the molding arching down about 12" back to the molding. Absolutely no impact--no washing in 110 temps---nothing owner related. Any ideas or experience---Do you think FR will cover under warranty, my dealer has his doubts. Coach is a FR3 28 purchased in August. Good new is I was on my way to the dealer with a broken toilet valve.
Thanks Barry

May need to check for rust under the molding. My dad had an Itasca that cracked like that and it ended up being rust on the frame that was pushing in the glass. We later found out it is a common problem on Winnebago which is who builds the Itasca.

Take a picture of the crack and send to Travis Bird at FR. There have been cases of improper installation causing stress cracks.

Best to take to a company that installs the and they will give you a report to give FR.

Same thing happened to us. 2015 30 DS. Warranty will cover it. We are going through the process of getting it fixed now. Take pictures and send them to Travis Bird and Kevin Stratton.

What was the reason to replace the front clip?

My original windshield cracked at the lower edge on the driver's side on our first trip. I am now having issues with the local glass company and their crappy install. Either they do not know how to install it properly or the replacement windshield is not the correct one.

My FR3 is an early 2015 model.

Is there an issue with some early models and breaking the glass?

You need to go to Duncan or somebody that represents Duncan the windshield installers for FR3.

J1BCU: What exactly do you mean by a new front nose piece?

BUMP!!

Who has had a windshield crack with no apparent reason?

Once replaced, has the new windshield cracked?

windshield / warranty

If you have a crack it could be a stress crack. You have to take pics and send to Travis Bird and Kevin Stratton. Also have Duncan, windshield installer, inspect before any other decision. It has to be physically inspected.
